Director of Investments and Operations

John Lockhart, CCIM

John heads the investments and operations for the Lockhart family office (DBA Catalina Buffalo Holdings). He has led the family through major asset divestiture and reinvestment into new markets, and has successfully doubled the value of his family's portfolio within two years. John directs Catalina Buffalo Holding's major multifamily investments via an approach that uniquely emphases demographic analysis. Major deployment of capital is only committed to deals located in areas with positive demographic trends that are not only focused on population growth, but also on identifiable correlative trends demonstrating an increasing quality of life and desirability of location. Growth for the right reasons.

John has logged over 300+ hours on ESRI's Business Analyst GIS software refining his demographic analytical approach to real estate decisions and investments.

Prior to taking on the role of Director of Investments and Operations for the Lockhart family office (DBA Catalina Buffalo Holdings), John spent just under eight years working as a commercial real estate broker in Connecticut's Hartford County, New Haven County, and Fairfield County markets. During that time John earned the CCIM designation, and represented national tenants, buyers, and landlords such as Edward Jones and Sotheby's International Realty, Guaranteed Rate, Club Champion, Nestle Tollhouse Cafe, Lightstone Group, CA-Senior Living, Inland, and Games Workshop. After leaving Avison Young, John finished the last two years of his brokerage career at the Shelton based Northeast Private Client Group, which specialized in middle market investment sales.

John holds a Bachelors of History Degree with a Minor in German from the University of Texas at Arlington.
